1. Ask Me Anything! 2. Bye, bye!

Two things, dear people, to tell you today.

1. I'm hosting my annual Ask Me Anything session! I did one last year in the beginning of July, and here's this one for this year. So please attack the comment box with lists and lists of nosy questions - this is your chance to ask me anything you've always secretly wondered about me, or just random fun, nonsensical questions. I will answers them all! (unless I think they intrude too much into my privacy. But asking won't hurt. :))

2. I will have no internet for the following ten days, so, adieu for now dears. I'll miss you, and all that jazz. I'll see you soon, hopefully together with a buncha questions waiting for me in the comment box. So, due to my internet absence, these next ten days will be slightly less nonsensical than usual. Good, huh? :-) And also, I won't be able to publish comments, or answer comments or comment on your blog (if you have one) or e-mail or pin or anything like that. Just so you know. :-)

Be a brick, will you, and leave some questions? I'll be back soon!

Fare thee well, my darling! The blogging world will miss you. :-)

Hmm, I can't think of any original, witty questions to ask at the moment...I'll be back.

  2. Are you going on vacation? Lovely! Have a great time, wherever you're going!

Gee . . . now, let me think. What would I like to ask you?

    1. Can you describe your favorite dress--that you own, I mean? (I love asking people this.)
    2. What's your favorite subject in school?
    3. What's your next-favorite movie after P&P 1995 (which I know is your ultimate fave), and why?
    4. Have you ever been to any other European countries besides Belgium and England?
    5. This last one is rather complicated. Is there any kind of character whom you have NOT yet written about in a story, but you would like to write about someday? Example: you've never written a story about an orphan, or a hot-tempered person, or a blind man, or whatever, but you wish you could at some point.

    See ya!

  3. Oh, whew! When I saw the title "bye bye" on my blogger dashboard, I thought that it meant that you were closing down the blog! Honestly, my heart almost stopped! :P

I have a question for you! WHERE do you get all those pictures from movies and all that? I mean, how did you get it to look so clear and not blurry like you had stopped a movie midway and then taken a screenshot? :D

  4. wah! when you get back i expect a long juicy post!
for a question, what are the names and ages of all your siblings, and can you post more photos of your gorgeous baby sister?!!

  5. Dear Naomi,
AW, I'm going to miss you! :( We have horrible internet problems here too. (By the way, that picture of the girl - HER HAIR?!! Excuse my while I faint...
So, I am one of those ridiculously curious persons (for me, tag posts never get old because I love learning more things about people) so I may comment a couple times in case I think of a splendoriferous question AFTER I publish this.....which always happens, y'know. ;-)
Do you think you could pick an Australian accent if you heard one? (That sounds weird I know, but my brother said when he was in Europe, no one picked his accent!)
Outside of period dramas, are there any other movie genres you like?
What is your opinion of Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit? If you haven't seen or read them, would you consider it? (I must admit, I think Tolkien's stories are my favourite overall - which is saying a lot!)
Do you ever read American comments in an American accent? :-P Hehe. I always wondered that....
Which of the March sisters do you think you are most like? (My answer is obvious. :-P)
What time do you normally get up and go to bed? (That's probably a boring question that EVERYONE asks, but you say you are early birds....my 'early' is probably different to yours! (Yep night owl right here.) ;-D)
If someone was eager to read Lynn Austin for the first time and asked which one to read first, what would you tell them? (Yes, that someone might be me.) As a matter of fact, we own one Lynn Austin book that I know of called "A Woman's Place". I have never heard it mentioned - have you read it? What did you think of it?
How do you go with adventure/thriller movies? :-D (I love them - they always give me such thrills, and my favourite has to be the Bourne series.)
Are you afraid of heights? What is your opinion on roller coasters? (I love roller coasters but if I am standing on a platform really high up and I look down....that frightens me.)
Okay, I could go on, but I'll end it with this one: As I do not know of other members in your family blogging, how did you convince your parents to let you have a blog? (Coming from myself, I would love to get one, but none of my family members have one and I am not sure what they would say. :-P)
I am going to miss my weekly 'nonsense' (which is really perfectly lovely nonsense).

  7. Cool! AMAs are great fun. So here are my questions:

    What color is your hair?
Do you sometimes wish your hair was a different color?
    What's your favorite breakfast food?
Have you ever had a treehouse?
What's your favorite kind of weather?
Do you like to play with Legos?
Do you ever stop reading a book before you've finished it? If so, what sorts of things make you stop?

Enjoy your vacation from the internet!

  9. Naomi,
I was going to leave it there but I couldn't NOT ask some more I thought of. Let me just say that don't feel pressured to answer all of them - you can just pick the ones you want! :-)
Do you like nail polish? If so, what's your favourite colour and what's the craziest colour you've tried?
Describe your house of dreams! :-D
What are your top 3 favourite hairstyles you've seen? How do you normally fix your hair?
Do you play musical instruments? I vaguely remember you saying you played the piano - if so, what grade are you in and do you do exams or for leisure? :-D What's your favourite song to play?
    Okay. I'm going. I promise. :-P

  12. Thank you for all the lovely comments and questions, everyone! I'm in the middle of a great vacation and checked out my blogger dashboard on my Grandma's I-pad-thing (seriously, how on earth do you properly type on this thing?) and I can't wait to answer all these questions. :-) See you soon!

  13. Hello! I'm Emily. :)
I've recently come across your blog through your Pinterest page (which is so very lovely!) and I absolutely adore it! I don't know anyone besides my younger sister who enjoys period dramas so it's always great to find someone with similar interests!
Now that I'm done introducing myself, here are my questions!
What is your never gets old, complete favorite book?
What book did you hate and never want to pick up again?
How would you describe your accent?
I hope you are enjoying your vacation! I'm looking forward to your return because I do love your posts. :)

  15. Miss you, Naomi! Can't wait to see you back to the blog-o-sphere! :D
Hmm...let me think of some questions.
First of, echoing Emma, who is the girl and what movie is she from? She's so pretty and her hair is glorious! I really want it. :)
Okay....I thought of this question a few days ago...it's really cruel, but I have to ask. If you could have kept ONE of the three men alive in Testament of Youth...who would it be? Victor, Edward, or Roland? (I know it's an awful question....I'm so sorry.)
Do you prefer skirts or dresses?
    Do you long to travel?
Are there any names you hope to name your children if you get married and have some?
Do you have a favorite Disney princess?
Would you call yourself an introvert, extrovert, or ambivert (somewhere in the middle.. :))?

Can't wait to see you back! :)

  16. Yay! Do you have any cousins?
What's your favorite place in your town/city/country?
What's your favorite fast food restaurant?
Who's your favorite male author? (Dickens?)
I think I've asked you this, but what's your favorite sport to watch? to play (or attempt to play)?
I may come back with more :D

  17. Can't wait until you're back, Naomi! I just have two rather silly questions for now: while I was picking strawberries today I saw on a fun facts sign that Belgium has a museum dedicated to strawberries. Have you ever been there? And what other nice museums have you been to?

  18. Questions. Hmmm, let me think. I'm sure I can come up with a couple of those. :)

What color of clothing does you closet have the most?
What type of chocolate do you like: dark, milk, or white?
    Coffee or tea?
What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
What style of clothing do you like to draw the most?
Who is the most handsome leading man for classic and modern movies?
What do you like to watch on a rainy day?
What is your favorite book to movie adaptation?

I hope you have a nice vacation!
I love the picture of Romy Schneider! She had such beautiful hair! Is that picture from one of the Sissi movies? I've only seen the first movie, and I haven't been able to find the other movies with English subtitles.

  19. Oh I hope I'm not too late with this.
    1. Do you have a favorite name (girl and or boy)?
    2. What's your favorite way to travel (plane, train, car, etc.)?
    3. Beach, mountains, or meadow?
    4. Who are your favorite actor & actress?
Well, that's all I can think of for now. Eagerly awaiting your return! :)

  20. Ooooh, I love to ask people questions! I can only think of one at present, however... do you enjoy gardening? If so, what do you like to cultivate? (Pansies and lavender are my one weakness. ...Well, perhaps two weaknesses. :))

Leaving me a comment is like walking by my house and dropping a little note in the post-box. I mean, it's really nice of you. So thanks.
