Favourite Pins #4

Why hello, all! I'm here with a 'favourite pins' post. Because this is the kind of post I do when I don't have much time. :-)

I REALLY REALLY REALLY want to watch EVERYTHING from 'Road to Avonlea.' I've seen the first episode, and little bits and bobs, and I'm a fan already. :-)
Haha. This is pretty awesome.
I'm not even a fan of Les Mis, but whoever made this - I LOVE YOU. Hahaha. Look Down. HAHAHAHAHA.
I'm pretty much obsessed with Judy and Mickey pins. They're way too cute.
NO I'M NOT CRYING.
Fred Astaire and all his wonder shoes. You've got to love Fred Astaire.
I want this sweater for. my. own. Just looook. Isn't it pretty?!!!
Have you HEARD, people?!!! Of the new movie, 'Brooklyn'?! I AM WICKEDLY EXCITED ABOUT IT. This is just one of the many pins I've pinned of it. :-P
Maggie Smith, 19 years old. She was so beautiful! She looks like Valancy Stirling. "I say, d'you ever see such eyes?"
Felix as a teenager. OH MYYYYY. He's adorable and handsome and AWW.
And finally, a picture of Gus and Felicity. I've raided Youtube and watched all the (too few) clips of those two together yesterday. I LOVE GUS.

  1. Awwwwwww, Gus and Felicity!!! "Better than kissin' my dog." Have you seen that scene? ;-P

Wow. Fred Astaire has a lot of shoes. Maybe he should consider cleaning out.

I really want to see Felix when he's older -- all the episodes I've seen are when the kids are really young. I think I have a crush on Felix. ;-D

No, I haven't heard of this new movie Brooklyn!!! What's it about?

OH AND THE LES MIZ ONE THOUGH. "Here's my number. (Look down)" That's great. :-D

No, but *I* have a crush on Felix! You can have Gus. I can have Felix. (This is how we do things. Hahaha.)

Brooklyn is about an Irish girl who travels to America, basically. It just looks really nice.
I KNEW you'd like the Les Mis picture. :-D DUH. :-)

    1. Oh, but I don't have the dvd's in my possession. No-one I know owns them, and they are literally SO expensive on Amazon. I'll probably end up watching them for the first time in 10 years. :'-(

But when I DO finally watch them, you can rely on posts. :-)

    2. She does look like Valancy! Only, don't you mean Valancy SNAITH? ;)

My library has all the seasons of Road to Avonlea - do you recommend I watch the series? :)

      Delete
    3. Oh yes. SNAITH. Sorry. :-D

YES. WATCH IT. Only, I will be VERY jealous. CANADIAN LIBRARIES ARE THE BEST.

    4. Oh, and the music is the same composer as the Anne movies. And GILBERT IS IN ONE EPISODE. And Rachel and Marilla are in several episodes, too, and so is Miss Stacy. GAH I WANT TO SEE THIS SO BAD. :-(

    5. Mustn't forget Barney, after all. ;) (I LOVE HIM SO MUCH.)

My mom doesn't care for the show because the kids are always arguing, but I MUST WATCH IT. Just so long as I forget that it's supposed to be based on The Story Girl. :P

    6. YES ME TOO. :-)

Haha, the kids do argue a lot, but they also have their very loving moments. :-) I reaaaaally want to see it. (There I go again.) I know, haha, it's SO not like the book. Some bits are, though, so that'll be fun to watch. (I'm such an expert of the series, right, without having watched it? Haha.)

    7. Barney? You mean THAT Barney? Guys, I've seen, like, a million episodes of that show--okay, maybe not a million, but an awful lot. It was such a huge part of my early childhood . . . gee, you're making me feel nostalgic :) Whenever my little siblings watch one of my favorite episodes it still makes me so happy. Specially the music. And my favorite one was called "Around the World" and I'm afraid I must credit it with sparking my interest in history and social studies :)

It's supposed to be based on The Story Girl? I didn't know THAT!

    8. Jessica, are you sure we're talking about the same thing? Barney is not in 'Road to Avonlea' (as far as I know) - he's the hero in another book of L.M.Montgomery, 'The Blue Castle.' (Highly recommended. :-D)

Is the series you watched called 'Road to Avonlea'? Maybe it's something different. Do you recognise the pictures in this post?

      ~ Naomi

    9. Noooooooooooo . . . we can't be talking about the same thing after all. I was thinking of a kids' TV show I watched when I was little; it's super-super famous in the US but I don't know if it's a thing in Europe. Basically, whenever anybody says the name "Barney" in connection with television, that's automatically what we think of :)

Okay, so what YOU are talking about is a TV series based on one of L.M. Montgomery's other books? No, I haven't ever seen that. In fact, I haven't read any of her work besides the Anne Shirley stories . . . what are they like?

      Delete
    10. Haha, I knew we weren't talking about the same thing. :-P

Yes, what I was talking about is 'Road to Avonlea' which is (loosely) based on Montgomery's books 'The Story Girl' and 'Tales of Avonlea.'

ANYWAY. Yes. I HIIIIIGHLY recommend ALL Montgomery's books! I LOVE THEM ALLLLL. My favourite is Rilla of Ingleside, but you've read that. My second favourite is 'The Blue Castle.' (The one that has Barney in it.) I HIGHLY recommend that book. I also love 'The Story Girl', 'Jane of Lantern Hill' and 'Kilmeny of the Orchard.' All are precious gems. :-D Oh, I FORGOT. The Emily Series! Those are fantastic too!!!! :-)

      ~ Naomi

    11. Got it :) Okay. Anyways. Yeah, I do love Rilla of Ingleside . . . although I'm not such a huge fan of the earlier Anne books because Anne Shirley and I are just very different personalities ;) I get along better with Rilla.

Is the Emily series the one about the girl with "purple eyes"? I think I remember you saying that a little while ago :)

  8. Oh you must watch the rest of Road to Avonlea!! I LOVE it so much!! Felix is so cute and funny when he's younger! Oh and in one episode the sister of the actor for Felix plays a character.

    1. NO I HAVEN'T SEEN EITHER. *cowers head in shame* No-one in Europe knows of these, so don't blame me. :-P
      Oh, and I haven't seen THAT, either!!!! I'm a nightmare. :-(

  10. Okay, I just had to comment because I heard of Brooklyn and it looks soooo darn adorable but-but--
WHY does it have to have inappropriate stuff in it??? -sob-
If you see it, you'll definitely have to review it for us! With lots of pictures! And maybe tell us if the bad stuff is easily skip-able ;) Heehee. Because it looks so cute!
